A trip to Akko and The Case of the Missing Chocolate

A trip to Akko and The Case of the Missing Chocolate

16 February 2011

Despite having been here for 6 months we still haven’t visited Akko other than to use the train station. As it’s a historical town just 20 mins away we decided we should check it out, and possibly even bag ourselves some decent fish. Friday was a really sunny day so we parked by the sea and …

My Story

This is the story of one family’s aliyah in 2010 to the North of Israel from just North of London, beginning 26th July 2010. At the time we were a family of 3, our delightful toddling little boy was 18 months and we were expecting a new baby just 7.5 weeks later.

In 2017 we are now a family of 7, after 4 boys we were blessed with a daughter. We invite you to join the trials, tribulations and (possibly) triumphs of emigrating to the holiest, and craziest country in the world, Israel.

Sadly, in 2020, just before the pandemic hit, the family became a family of 6 when the author, Deganit, passed away, suddenly and unexpectedly, age 40.
