Suddenly there
Smile on her face
tail in the air

Bit of a fuss
Gift from the neighbours
Now she’s with us!

Who’s going to catch her?
Jojo or Roni?
Bet she can give ’em
a run for their money

she’s finally here!
I’ve only been waiting
twenty-six years
she’s white with brown spots
just like the first dog I met
his name was Toffee
my piano teachers pet

Shh! Not a peep!

Her name’s Ayala!
Just like our friend
and whats-her-names mother.
Look she likes crumbs…
lets drop some more
